SUMMARY

Kvaser is an innovative Swedish-owned company with a great reputation for our product quality and support services. We now need an additional Technical Support Engineer to help customers, partners and their field engineers throughout the US region. Working as part of our International Support Team, this role would suit an engineering graduate looking to join an international company with a strong engineering culture and plenty of opportunities to progress.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibility will be to provide timely email and phone support to Kvaser customers throughout the US region. As well as diagnosing and troubleshooting customers’ problems, you’ll need to log support responses via Kvaser’s Support System and document new procedures. Occasionally, you’ll work with our partner network to support their field engineers with training.

Working for a European-based company, local and international travel will be required; expect to travel up to 25% of the time, on a monthly basis. As a valued member of Kvaser’s Support Management Group, an important part of your job will be to share customer issues and feedback with developers, with a view to making our products even better.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

Applicants should have a bachelor or master’s degree in an engineering field and development or testing experience in embedded control systems or a similar role. Programming skills are required, so familiarity with C ++, Python, .NET or other embedded programs is a must. Controller Area Network (CAN) experience with CANopen, J1939 and other higher layer protocols, whilst not essential, would be highly advantageous, as would experience with system analysis.
